Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar hold temples of three faiths within a few streets, Maxwell Food Centre, and the shophouses of Duxton Hill and Bukit Pasoh Road, home to Zén and Born.
Temples
Sri Mariamman Temple, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Thian Hock Keng. Dress modestly at places of worship, covering shoulders and knees, and remove your shoes where asked.
Shophouses and dining
Zén on Bukit Pasoh Road, Born in the old Jinrikisha Station, Mondrian on Duxton Hill and Jigger & Pony on Tanjong Pagar Road.
Come for lunch at Maxwell and stay for dinner.
