Marina Bay is Singapore’s showpiece: Marina Bay Sands and the Gardens by the Bay on one side, The Fullerton and the business district on the other, and the Civic District of the National Gallery, the Asian Civilisations Museum and Raffles just behind.
The bay
The Merlion, the Esplanade, the Helix Bridge, Marina Bay Sands and the Gardens by the Bay make a loop on foot.
The Civic District
The National Gallery, Victoria Theatre and the Asian Civilisations Museum stand around the Padang and Empress Place; Raffles is a short walk north.
Walk the bay at dusk, when the towers light up.
Our advice: lunch at Lau Pa Sat, dinner at Odette or Labyrinth.
