About Orchard Road, Tanglin and Nassim: the back story
Orchard Road is Singapore’s great shopping street, from ION Orchard and Paragon to Ngee Ann City. At its western end it gives way to Tanglin and Nassim: leafy roads, the Four Seasons, Shangri-La and The St. Regis, and the Botanic Gardens.
The shops
ION Orchard, Paragon, Ngee Ann City and Takashimaya, Mandarin Gallery and Palais Renaissance line the road.
Tanglin and Nassim
Tanglin Mall, Dempsey Hill and the Botanic Gardens are a short taxi ride away; Nassim is among URA’s Good Class Bungalow Areas.
Shop in the morning, retreat to the Botanic Gardens in the afternoon.
Our advice: take tea at Raffles, then shop on Orchard after the heat of the day.
