The back story

About Johor Bahru: the back story

Johor Bahru is across the Causeway in Malaysia. The KTM Shuttle Tebrau runs from Woodlands to JB Sentral, and the RTS Link between Woodlands North and Bukit Chagar is under construction (ktmb.com.my; lta.gov.sg).

Getting there

The Shuttle Tebrau is the simplest way across: scan your passport at the gate, which closes 20 minutes before departure at Woodlands (ktmb.com.my).

Before you go

You leave Singapore and enter Malaysia: check Malaysia’s immigration requirements for your passport before you travel.

Take your passport, and check Malaysia’s entry rules for your nationality.

Our advice: avoid weekend and holiday peaks at the checkpoints.
