The back story
About Pulau Ubin and Chek Jawa: the back story
Pulau Ubin lies off Changi; bumboats leave Changi Point Ferry Terminal and take about 10 minutes. At Chek Jawa, a boardwalk and the 21-metre Jejawi Tower look over the mangroves (NParks).
Getting there
From Changi Point Ferry Terminal, 51 Lorong Bekukong, bumboats run on demand from about 6am to 7pm, leaving when 12 passengers are aboard (NParks).

The boardwalk makes a Coastal Loop of 600 m and a Mangrove Loop of 500 m; the wetlands are about 3 km from the jetty (NParks). Keep to the trails and don’t approach, provoke or feed wildlife, including the long-tailed macaques (NParks).
Hire a bike in the village and ride to Chek Jawa.
Our advice: take water and sun cream, and check NParks for the boardwalk’s hours.
